If you are a Director of a Residents’ Management Company (RMC) or Right to Manage Company (RTM), or thinking of becoming a Director, this course is for you.
Who should attend? The course is recommended for all Directors of a Residents’ Management Company or a Right To Manage Company, and for anyone considering taking up such a role.
Aim: The aim of this course is to help you understand the different elements involved in being a Director and develop how you carry out the role.
TC1: Introduction to Residential Property Management

A 6-hour course being run over 2 days (3-hours per day) by one of ARMA’s industry experts, this course is perfect for those new to residential leasehold property management. It will provide an overview of the controls and processes required to effectively manage a leasehold block.
Who should attend?
This introductory course is ideal for those new to the sector with less than six month’s experience in residential property management and those moving from letting to residential leasehold management.
W14 – Deeds of Variations: A Practical Guide for Property Managers

Are you a property manager facing an increased number of requests for deeds of variation?
In this session, we’ll explore the reasons behind the requests, together a discussion around the common types of requests for variation sought by both leaseholders and owners of freehold properties, including the increased demand for mortgage protection clauses.
We’ll consider steps involved in varying leases (and transfers), and an overview of the process involved from the point of view of managing agents.
We’ll also consider the frequent requests made to cancel, add and/or amend restrictions.
TC11: Residential Service Charge Accountants Guidance
Dates: 17th to 18th June 2024 10am
Duration: 3 hours a day over 2 days
A 6-hour interactive discussion forum addressing best practice for service charge accounting.
Who should attend:
- Accounts staff who need to understand the requirements of lease and law in the production of accounts
- Property managers whose input is required during the service charge year from their clients
- It may also be suitable for senior managers who are responsible for the corporate strategy within their accounts department
